The name suggests a cubist offering; square or geometric; angular: sharp.
The Joyetech CUBIS Atomizer, however, is a beautiful new tank from the company that brought you the eVic, eGo ONE, and eGrip series. Here are the round, clean lines of a CUBIS bottom-fill tank from Joyetech.
The Old Bottom-Fill Method
While top-fill tanks are all the rage and a lot of people say they are the only way to vape, Joyetech clearly likes the old ways better. They have built a bottom-feed tank in defiance of latest trends but offer a leak-resistant product nonetheless. Their cup design supposedly prevents spillage, so if you believe coils become more saturated when you fill from the base, you can still refill without leaks and operate the way that suits you best.
Disconnect to Clean
Take everything apart: caps, coils, and drip tip. This allows you to get into all the grooves which collect e juice and grime to clean your atomizer tank thoroughly for months of use. Promote healthy atomizer performance by keeping it clean. Although materials are durable, tubes and caps roll away or become broken occasionally. This is particularly true when a vaper over-tightens screws. Parts are replaceable through JoyeTech-certified dealers. Always buy authentic JoyeTech equipment to be sure you’re buying quality items.
Invisible Airflow Control
Airflow is controlled by a valve, but it turns inside, so you can’t see its opening on the outside. The result is a unified appearance and, once more, that leak-free fill system. What you can see is the result of airflow control: more vapor or less vapor according to your setting.
Trust 316 Stainless Steel
The use of stainless steel in manufacturing regular coils for variable watt vaping ensures clean heat from an atomizer coil that wears out more slowly than Kanthal or Nichrome. You don’t get those dry acrid hits associated with cheap materials. Stainless steel costs more but is cleaner (316 Stainless Steel is medical-grade) and lasts longer, so your expense is paid off rapidly.
A Modest Tank
The 316 Stainless Steel or black tank holds as much as 3.5 ml of e juice, which isn’t the smallest amount you can get, but if this was part of a series of various-sized sub-ohm tanks, JoyeTech would refer to it as a “Mini.” Made from Pyrex, the tube promotes clean vapor and is largely open to view with just two supportive sections to protect glass mid-way between caps. These stop the glass from touching surfaces directly so as to prevent cracking.
The Joyetech CUBIS Tank Atomizer Package
Customers receive a tank, metal mouthpiece, a Delrin mouthpiece, and coils. These are the BF SS316 0.5-ohm, BF SS316 1-ohm, and Clapton Coils (1.5-ohm). Use this device safely with your eVic VTC or any vaporizer capable of up to 30W. If applied to more powerful mods, you must simply adjust output to match your atomizer’s capacity.
Since this is a new tank, the cost is currently around $25 but there is a good chance of sale prices bringing that down if JoyeTech fiddles with the design in preparation for Version 2: a larger CUBIS perhaps?
