  • Describe behavioral and pharmacological aids that can assist in smoking cessation attempts.
  • Identify systemic and personal barriers to implementing smoking cessation in the pediatric office setting.

Promoting Smoke Free Homes in Your Practice – Systems Change:

  • Describe the evidence supporting smoking cessation counseling in pediatric practice.
  • Implement small practice changes utilizing a plan-do-study-act cycle.
  • Incorporate evidence-based smoking cessation counseling techniques into practice that will not significantly lengthen individual patient visits.
